Be Strong And Courageous: 5 Things To Remember When You’re Afraid

1. Fear Isn’t telling you the whole truth.

Fear will tell you over and again that:

-You’re not good enough

-You don’t have what it takes to succeed

-If you try you’re going to fail

-You’re not as good as other people

But what it’s NOT telling you is that :

-There’s a great chance that if you try, you just might succeed

-You already possess EVERYTHING you need to be victorious

-There’s power in just being authentically YOU!

2. God loves you more than anything.

A lot of the times what helps me overcome fear daily is just remembering how much God loves me. Because He loves me He will never leave me or forsake me. And because He’s always with me I don’t have to be afraid. I realize that the more I meditate on the love of God, the less afraid I become.

3. You can be afraid and STILL be courageous.

I saw a quote recently that said “Courage isn’t the absence of fear, but it’s acting inspite of it”. I know fear has tried to make you believe that you’re the only one on the planet who deals with fear but believe it or not some of the most successful people in the world deal with it daily. They’re not successful because they don’t experience fear, they’re successful because even in the midst of being afraid, they chose to succeed anyway. Even if you have to do it afraid….do it anyways!!!

4. If God called you to do it, He has given you everything you need to succeed at it.

God will never set you up for failure! Before He calls you to do something, He prepares you by giving you what you need to succeed at it. Remind yourself daily that you have everything that you need to be successful!

5. Jesus is more powerful than your fear.

We may be afraid, but God isn’t! Every time we find ourselves submitting to fear, God is there waiting to rescue us. In fact, I’ve found that it’s in those moments when I’m the most afraid that God shows up in a more powerful way than before. When Jesus died on the cross, He died so that you wouldn’t have to be a victim to fear. He died to deliver you. He died to set you free. Fear is no match for the King!

Everything that you’ve been praying for is on the other side of fear! I pray that these 5 reminders help you to live a life free of fear, free of self doubt, and free of insecurity! There’s a whole world just waiting for you to choose purpose over fear.

If these reminders helped you in any way comment below to let me know. I would love to hear from you!😊
